Hello lovelies!
I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived in Osaka. But what I got was a visual feast, a lot of lovely food, a Whale Shark and a chance to sing my heart out at a Karaoke bar!
We caught our first Shinkansen train from Tokyo and in the spirit of all things food tried out one of the bento boxes on offer at the station.
YUM!
Around 2 hours later we arrived at Shin-Osaka station and met up with our friend
Ben. We then all made our way to Osaka Castle and spent the afternoon exploring Osaka with a local, my lovely friend Yuki!
Later in the evening, after an amazing Karaoke session, Yuki took us to an
Okonomiyaki restaurant which is quite famous with the Osakans locals. And for good reason...they tasted amazing!
The next day we headed to Osaka Aquarium.
How awesome is this Whale Shark!
The jelly fish were also quite spectacular to watch!
Later in the afternoon we stopped off for a final nibble of fried octupus balls typically sold by street vendors called
Takoyaki
As the sun set over Osaka we said our sad goodbyes to Yuki and headed for the Shinkansen back to Tokyo.
To be continued!
